Rita W. Seda was born February 24, 1935, to Charles and Winifred (Ashford) Harper in England. She was raised in the Leiston, England area. Rita met Bob Seda while he was serving in the Air Force and stationed in England. The two were married on October 25, 1952. The couple returned to the states and farmed outside of Dunlap. Rita worked at the Something Special Craft Shop in Dunlap and at the Dunlap Care Center. Bob died on December 15, 2008.
Rita was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, and the Boyer Valley Sunshine Club. She enjoyed bowling on a team for a number of years. Bob and Rita enjoyed traveling. Rita returned to England every two or three years.
Rita died on Monday, November 13, 2017, at the Dunlap Specialty Care at the age of 82 years, eight months, and 22 days.
Rita was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bob Seda; grandson, Bobby Gray; sister, Daphne Lokken and brother, Brian Harper. She is survived by her four children, Gary (Cindy) Seda of Woodbine, Iowa, David (Monica) Seda of Omaha, Nebraska, John (Ann) Seda of Urbandale, Iowa, Donna (Todd) Nelson of Spokane, Missouri; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; four siblings, Thelma Sanders of England, Ann (Ray) Spiegel of Winfield, Kansas, Susan Hoover of Vancouver, Washington, Timothy Harper of England; and many other relatives and friends.
