YOUNG MAN KILLED IN AUTO ACCIDENT

FORD CAR STRIKES CONCRETE RAILING ON BRIDGE WITH FATAL RESULT

While Fred Sime of Radcliffe and his brother, Ed Sime, were returning from Hubbard Friday evening, their car struck the concrete side of a small bridge west of Hubbard with such force as to throw the former against the wind shield inflicting injuries from which he died the next day.

The boys had been attending the Hubbard days celebration and were on their way home when the met a car, and Ed Sime, who was driving, failed to see the bridge on account of the lights from the approaching car. The grade narrowed in at the bridge and the Ford coupe, which they were driving, ran straight ahead and struck the railing with full force. The car did not tip over, but the sudden stop threw Fred Sime forward, his head stiking the top of the wind shield and his neck was broken. He was rushed to the hospital, but nothing could be done and he passed away the next day.

The deceased was a son of Mrs. John Sime and lived with his mother on the Sime farm nine miles northeast of Roland.
