Rosemary passed away peacefully with her daughters at her side on December 5, 2011, after a long battle with COPD. In her better days, she loved nature, wildflowers, and her art. Rosemary served proudly in the US Navy. She is preceded in death by her father Leo J. Cunningham, her mother Carolyn Cunningham, and her twin sister Mary Ann Hovel. She is survived by two daughters, Eadie Stanton (Alan) of Iowa Falls and Susan Carr (Scott) of Des Moines as well and four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. At Rosemary's request, there will be no service or visitation. The family has planned a gathering in April on her birthday.
