March 2, 1920 - August 16, 2005
Williams - Caroline E Doss, 85, of Williams, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2005 at teh Heritage Care Center, Iowa Falls. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday Aug. 20 at the United Methodist Church, Williams, with the Rev. Martha Bennett officiating. Burial will be in the Blairsburg Cemetery, Blairsburg. The Linn's Funeral Homes Iowa Falls chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Caroline Elizabeth Doss was born March 2, 1920 on her parents farm in Howard County, the daughter of Guy O and Marietta Zoellen (Conaway) Ellison. She attended Williams Community Schools. On July 9, 1938, she was united in marriage to John Doss at the Little Brown Church, Nashua. To this union three children were born: J.U., Larry Wayne and Robert James. She was employed by Shager Produce, Trumps I-35 Restaurant. Caroline was a member of the United Methodist Church, Williams, and the Ladies Aid of the U.M.C. She enjoyed gardening and making pies for park celebrations of the town of Williams.
Caroline is survived by her two sons, John U Doss of Williams and Larry Doss and wife Toshi of San Diego, California; sixe grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; one brother, Bob Ellison and wife Phyllis of San Diego, Calif. and two sisters, Edith Mutchler and Irma Nixon, both of Iowa Falls. She was preceded in death by her parents Guy and Marietta Ellison; her husband, John Doss; one son Robert Doss; and two brothers William Dean Ellison and Charles Maxwell Ellison.
