Irene Harlan, 89, of Iowa Falls passed away Friday at the Ellsworth Municipal Hospital. Funeral services for Irene Harlan will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church. A time of visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today.

Irene Harlan, 89, of Iowa Falls, Iowa, passed away Friday, February 26, 2010, at the Ellsworth Municipal Hospital, Iowa Falls. Funeral services for Irene Harlan will be 10:30 am Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 313 Lee Lane, Iowa Falls, Iowa, with Reverend Paul Beisel officiating. A time of visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Monday, March 1st at the Linn's Funeral Home, 1521 Washington Avenue, Iowa Falls, Iowa. Burial will be at the Northlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery, Iowa Falls. Memorials may be directed to the family c/o her son: Terry Harlan, 23474 County Highway D-15, Iowa Falls, Iowa, 50126. The Linn's Funeral Homes Iowa Falls Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Irene Louise Wiegmann was born October 17, 1920, at Allison, Iowa, the daughter of Conrad and Sarah [Wessels] Wiegmann. She graduated Bristol High School in 1938. On July 30, 1943 Irene was united in marriage to Marshall Dallas Harlan in Bremerton, Washington. She was employed by J. C. Penny in Iowa Falls, Iowa for 28 years, retiring in 1984. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Iowa Falls and was a member of the Church Circle and Quilting Society.

Irene Harlan is survived by here son: Terry Harlan [Leslie Sheridan] of Iowa Falls; her daughter-in-law: Kay Harlan of Claremore, Oklahoma; a grandson: Chad [Tina Franzen] Harlan of Indianola, Iowa; a granddaughter: Jennifer Harlan of Claremore, Oklahoma; a great granddaughter: Logan Harlan of Claremore, Oklahoma; a great grandson: Dallas James Harlan of Claremore, Oklahoma; and two sisters: Darlene Bunken of Morrison, Iowa, and Bernice Krull of Greene, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents: Sarah and Conrad Wiegmann; her husband: M. Dallas Harlan; her son: James Harlan; three sisters: Leona, Dorothy, and Minnie; and a brother: Leonard
