Sandrea "Sandi" J. 'Mittelstadt' Caruth, 63, of Iowa Falls, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2012, at the Ellsworth Municipal Hospital, Iowa Falls. Funeral services for Sandrea "Sandi" J. Caruth will be 10:30 Saturday, September 29, 2012, at the First United Methodist Church, 619 Main Street, Iowa Falls, Iowa. A time of visitation will from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Friday, September 28th also at the First United Methodist Church. Burial will be at the Union Cemetery, Iowa Falls. Memorials may be directed to the family c/o her husband: Glenn Caruth, 21611 115TH Street, Iowa Falls, Iowa 50126. The Linn's Funeral Homes Iowa Falls Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Sandrea Jean Mittelstadt was born May 10, 1949, at Hampton, Iowa, the daughter of Herbert and Iris Jean [Hartgrave] Mittelstadt. She attended the Hampton Community Schools graduating with the class of 1967. After High School she attended Ellsworth College, Iowa Falls. On July 10, 1971, Sandi was united in marriage to Glenn Donald Caruth at the United Methodist Church, Hampton, Iowa. To this union three children were born: Eric, Tyson, and Sabrina. She was employed as the office manager for Iowa Falls Roofing Co. for 35 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Iowa Falls; singing for many years in the choir. She was also a member of the Ellsworth Hospital Auxiliary (holding many offices including Past President), the Ellsworth College E-Club, Etude, the Iowa Falls State Bank Millennium Club, and also helped with the Annual Miss Iowa Falls Pageant.

Sandi Caruth is survived by her husband: Glenn Caruth of Iowa Falls; her children: Eric [fiancé©'] Angela Russo] Caruth of Dearborn Heights, Michigan, Tyson Caruth of Norfolk, Virginia, Sabrina [Tony] Vanatter of Iowa Falls; five grandchildren: Makaella and Charles Caruth of Lake Orion, Michigan, and Chaz, Taylor and Kylie Vanatter of Iowa Falls. her siblings: Terry Mittelstadt of Hampton, Iowa, and Sherry [Keith] Miller of Urbandale, Iowa; and six nephews and three nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents: Herbert and Iris Mittelstadt, and her father-in-law: C. Glen Caruth.
