James 'Jim' Crosser, 78, of Iowa Falls, Iowa, passed away Saturday, December 6, 2014, at the Muse Norris Hospice House, Mason City, Iowa, under the care of North Iowa Hospice and his family. Funeral service for Jim Crosser will be 11:00 am Friday, December 12, 2014, at the Bethany Lutheran Church, 2712 Washington Avenue, Iowa Falls, Iowa,. A time of visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday at the Linn's Funeral Home 1521 Washington Avenue, Iowa Falls and also from 10:00 am until service time before services also at the church. Military Honors will be provided by the U. S. Navy and the Hyman-Peavey American Legion Post # 188, Iowa Falls. Private family burial will be at the Cambridge Cemetery, Cambridge, Iowa. The Linn's Funeral Homes Iowa falls Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements.

James Frederick Crosser was born January 27, 1936 at Nevada, Iowa the son of John Albert Crosser and Elizabeth Katherine [Scarcello] Crosser. He attended the Cambridge Community Schools thru his junior year and graduated from the Winterset Community School with the class of 1954. He entered the United States Navy on June 7, 1954 serving on the USS Buck in the Pacific Theatre and China Sea. On September 27, 1957 he was united in marriage to Helen Virginia Mae Darnaud in Tokyo, Japan. To this union three children were born: John Albert, Cindy Lou, and Kimberly Ann. James worked for the Boyt Harness Company, Iowa Falls; Farmland Foods Iowa Falls, and Larson Plumbing and Heating, Hubbard, Iowa. He attended the Bethany Lutheran Church, Iowa Falls.

Jim Crosser is survived by his wife: Helen Crosser, Iowa Falls; his children: John [Jeanelle] Crosser of Calgary Alberta, Canada, Cindy [Roger] Crosser-Klebsch of Cambridge, Iowa, Kim Crosser of Ankeny, Iowa; eight grandchildren; Heather, Amber, Kimberly, Jennifer, Ashley, Jayme, Stephanie, and Elizabeth; six great grandchildren; T.J., Chloe, Josh, Jacob, Ryder, and Dierks; a brother: Jack Crosser of Iowa Falls; and a sister: Sally Skelly of Iowa Falls.

He was preceded in death by his parents: John and Elizabeth Crosser; his sister: Karen L. Crosser; his brother: Robert Crosser; and a nephew: Robert Crosser.
