ALDEN—Edyth L. Wilson, 95, of Alden died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2005, at Ellsworth Municipal Hospital in Iowa Falls. Funeral services are Friday, Feb. 25, at 11 a.m. at Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls with the Rev. Rick Layman officiating. Burial will follow in the Alden Cemetery. Friends may call at Surls Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday.

Edyth Lucille Baker was born Feb. 22, 1909, in Milford to Allen and Margaret Baker. She attended elementary and high school in Milford. On Oct. 30, 1927, she was united in marriage with John George "Jack" Wilson. Edyth was a homemaker and member of the United Methodist Church in Alden. She offered assistance with taking baked goods to share with residents at nursing homes, and enjoyed friendship circles, her “card club,” gardening and flowers.

Survivors include a son, John A. Wilson and wife JoAnn of Cedar Rapids; a daughter, Nancy L. Davis of Fairview, Ore.; a daughter-in-law, Kathy M. Wilson of Alden; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, David P. Wilson; and a sister, Virginia L. Strickland.
