George F. Neugebauer

November 11, 1915-February 15, 2005

ALLISON—George F. Neugebauer, 89, of Allison, formerly of Longmont, Colo., died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2005, of natural causes at the Allison Care Center. Memorial services will be Monday in Longmont, as well as inurnment. There will be no visitation.

George was born Nov. 11, 1915, in Douglas County, S.D., the son of Fred and Bertha (Moshner) Neugebauer. He attended Douglas County country schools. On Sept. 12, 1937, he was united in marriage with Leona Grosz in Armour, S.D. George was a farmer and cabinet maker. He was a member of First Lutheran Church in Longmont and St. James Lutheran Church in Allison. George enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing and working.

Survivors include his wife, Leona of Allison; daughter Donna and husband Calvin Fick of Allison; son Alvin and wife Joan Neugebauer of Colorado Springs, Colo.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister Regina Sperlich of Custer, S.D.; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Lorraine; and five brothers and sisters.

Sietsema Vogel Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
