IOWA FALLS—Evelyn Wagoner Halder, 81, of Iowa Falls passed away Sunday, Jan. 23, 2005, at the Heritage Care Center in Iowa Falls. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Jan. 26, 1:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Iowa Falls, with burial to follow at the Northlawn Memory Gardens, Iowa Falls.

Evelyn Mae was born Aug. 28, 1923, in Hardin County, the daughter of Glen Arthur and Eva Viola (Whipple) Bailey. She was educated in rural schools near Bradford. On Nov. 23, 1940, she was united in marriage to Russell L. Wagoner. To this union four children were born: Diana Mae, Mary Louise, Sandra Kay and Marlyn Russell. On July 12, 1978, she married Leonard Crandall; on July 20, 1986, she married Ronald Whitney; and on Oct. 21, 1995, she married Jerome Francis Halder. Evelyn was employed as an oversized load escort and owned the Wagoner Escort Service of Iowa Falls. She had also worked as a sales clerk at Quality Royal, Grahams and Wal-Mart, all of Iowa Falls.

Evelyn is survived by her husband, Jerry Halder of Iowa Falls; three daughters, Diana Stewart and husband Bob of Iowa Falls, Mary Jones and husband Wayne of State Center, and Sandra Simpson and husband Harry of Cedar Falls; one son, Marlyn Wagoner and wife Charolette of Lakeside, Ariz.; 17 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Patricia Jackson of Iowa Falls. She was preceded in death by her parents; three husbands, Russell Wagoner, Leonard Crandall and Ronald Whitney; and three brothers, La Vere, Glen Jr. and Larry Bailey.
