Scott Alan Feldman

August 31, 1961-January 21, 2005

CLARKSVILLE—Scott Alan Feldman, 43, of Clarksville died Friday, Jan. 21, 2005, at Mercy Medical Center in New Hampton. Funeral services were Monday, Jan. 24, at the First United Church of Christ, Pleasant Valley, rural Clarksville, with the Rev. Charles L. Dorsey officiating. Burial was in Lynwood Cemetery, Clarksville.

Scott was born Aug. 31, 1961, in Charles City, the son of Kenneth and Janice Smith Feldman. He graduated from Plainfield Community School in 1979. After starting college at Iowa State University, he decided to instead pursue his love of farming. Scott was united in marriage with Renee Niehaus on July 24, 1982, in Clarksville. The couple made their home in rural Clarksville where Scott farmed and milked Holsteins. He also worked for Jungling Farms, Eaton’s Corp and went back to Iowa State University. He and Renee ran their own business, R & S Antiques. Scott was a member of Pleasant Valley United Church of Christ. He enjoyed collecting toy tractors, trading antiques, camping, farming, movies, supporting the Cyclones, working with his hands and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Renee Feldman of Clarksville; three sons, Dustin Feldman of Pella and Alex and Derek Feldman of Clarksville; his mother, Janice Feldman of Nashua; one brother, Tracy Feldman of Little Rock, Ark.; three sisters, Connie Edson and husband Dave of Nashua, Jill Henderson and husband Thomas of Columbia, Md., and Cindy Feldman of Des Moines; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; his maternal grandparents, Dorothy and Thomas Smith of Nashua; and his paternal grandparents, Marian and Fred Feldman of Greene.

Redman-Schwartz Funeral Home of Clarksville was in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be sent to the Dustin, Alex and Derek Feldman Education Fund, 12421 Vail Ave., Clarksville, IA 50619.
