ACKLEY—Helen M. Joslin, 87, of Ackley died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2005, at the Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames. Funeral services were Wednesday, Jan. 8, at Geneva United Methodist Church with the Rev. Diane Mitchell officiating. Burial followed in the Lindenwood Cemetery in rural Geneva.

Helen was born April 22, 1917, in Randolph, Neb., to Leslie and Kathryn (Meyer) Boughn. She married Victor I. Joslin of Geneva and had five children. She is survived by sons Harlan Joslin and wife Barbara of Waukegan, Ill., and Ronald Joslin and wife Donna of Dike; daughters Patricia Weber, Georgia Hofmeister and husband Dennis of Ackley, and Beverly Neubauer of Alden; 19 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and sisters Bernice Williamson, Donna Schuben of Torrance, Calif., Georgia Queen of Merced, Calif., and Mahala Arrison and husband George of Casa Grande, Ariz. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 44 years, Victor; one brother; two sisters; one niece; one daughter-in-law; and one son-in-law.

Sietsema Funeral Home of Ackley was in charge of the arrangements.
