Arthur Williams

February 22, 1924-January 21, 2005

GENEVA—Arthur Williams, 80, of Geneva died Friday, Jan. 21, 2005, at the Franklin General Hospital in Hampton. Funeral services were Tuesday, Jan. 25, at Geneva United Methodist Church with the Rev. Diane Mitchell officiating. Burial followed in Jackson Township Cemetery in Owasa.

Arthur was born Feb. 22, 1924, in Jackson Township, Hardin County, to Leo and Elsie (Welsh) Williams. He graduated from Owasa High School in 1942. Art farmed with his father until his death in 1967. He then worked on the farm for his cousin, Jim Williams, until Art and his mother moved to Geneva in 1974. Art kept busy mowing lawns and running errands for friends. He was a member of Geneva United Methodist Church where he enjoyed being an usher and helping out in any way that he could.

Survivors include his nephew, Don Wohlford and wife Barb of Hampton; two great-nephews, Terry Wohlford and wife Kris and their daughters, Kennedy and Mallory, and David Wohlford and wife Jodi, all of Geneva; and one step-great-nephew, Mark Rodgers and wife Kim and their children, Brianna and Jayson of Phoenix, Ariz. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Marjorie Wohlford and brother Richard Williams.

Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home in Hampton was in charge of the arrangements.
