HAMPTON - LaDonna Jean Viet, 69, of Hampton died Monday, Dec. 22, 2003, at the Belmond Medical Center in Belmond. Funeral services will be Saturday, Dec. 27, at 11 a.m. at the Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home in Hampton with Rev. Richard Parker and Rev. Art Zewert officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Dumont Cemetery in Dumont.
LaDonna was born Aug. 30, 1934, in Franklin County to Raymond and Vera (Wells) Froning. She attended Hampton High School and received her GED from NIACC. On June 1, 1952, she was united in marriage to Galen Viet at Hampton. LaDonna was employed by Franklin General Hospital as a supervisor until her retirement. She was a member of the Neighborhood Bible Church in Hampton. She enjoyed going to rummage sales, fishing, working and decorating. Spending time with her grandchildren and her dog and vacationing at Clear Lake in the summer were among her favorites.
Survivors include her husband, Galen, of Hampton; two sons, Dennis and wife Linda and Randy and wife Holly, all of Hampton; two daughters, Kristie Meints and husband Jeff of Sheffield and Debra Plagge and husband Tony of Hampton; two sisters, Margaret Huisman of North Highlands, Calif., and Shirley Siems and husband Verlon of Hampton; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.
