GILBERT - Lenora Virginia Conrad, 77, of Gilbert died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2003, at her home. Funeral services were Wednesday, Nov. 12, at Adams Funeral Home in Ames with burial in the Gilbert Cemetery.
Lenora was born Dec. 9, 1925, at Dows to Gerald and Vera (Davis) Whipple. On Jan. 6, 1952, she was united in marriage to Robert Conrad in Hampton. The couple moved to Ames in 1957. Lenora was a homemaker and was employed by Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames for 15 years.
Survivors include two sons, Jason Conrad of Kelley and James Conrad of Story City; five brothers, Wilbur Whipple of Hampton, Merle Whipple of Geneva, Virgil Whipple of Hampton and Roscoe and Verle "Butch" Whipple both of Dows; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; and twin brother, Lorenzo "Bud" Whipple.
