HOUSTON, Texas - Naoma L. Walton, 79, of Houston, Texas, died Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2003, from a sudden heart attack. Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 13, at Northwoods Memorial Funeral Home in Houston. Burial will be in the Alden Cemetery.
Naoma was born in Redfield and later moved to Woodward with her family. She married in 1949 and moved to Alden then to Tulsa, Okla., Abilene, Texas, and finally to Houston. Naoma received her bachelor's degree from Simpson College and was a Pi Beta Phi Sorority sister and Golden Arrow member. She received her master's degree from Sam Houston State University in Texas, continuing on to be a home economics teacher, principal and elementary school teacher in Iowa and high school teacher in Houston until retirement. Her hobbies were baking, crocheting and crafts.
She is survived by her son and daughter, Jay and Lori Walton.
