URBANDALE - Ronald William Rumpf, 45, of Urbandale died Sunday, July 20, 2003. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, July 24, at 10 a.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church of which he was a member. Cremation will take place following his funeral mass.
Ron was born May 19, 1958, in Syracuse, N.Y. He graduated from the University of Iowa in 1984 and was a self-employed carpenter. On Aug. 11, 1984, he married Patti Rieber. Ron enjoyed his family's activities, photography and building and fixing things for others. He was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes fan.
Survivors include his wife, Patti; a daughter, Kelsey; sons Karsen and Mason, all of Urbandale; a twin brother, Randy of North Liberty; and brothers, Jeffrey of Queensberg, N.Y., and Douglas of Glens Falls, N.Y. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Avonelle Rumpf.
Visitation is today (Wednesday) at the church from 5-8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
