ACKLEY-Irvin T. Flessner, 80, of Ackley died Thursday, Nov. 21, 2002, at his home. Services will be held Saturday, Nov. 23, at 10:30 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Ackley with burial in Oakwood Cemetery, Ackley. Rev. Susan A. Cluts will officiate.

Irvin was born April 17, 1922, at Cleves to Elmer and Jennie Beving Flessner. He attended country school and Ackley high school. On April 11, 1945, he married Frances Viet at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. He farmed in the Ackley area and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Ackley Lions Club.

He is survived by two daughters, Patricia Hinrichs and husband Kris of Iowa Falls and their family, Gary Jr., Daniel and Heather; and Marcia Granzow and husband Mark of Hubbard and their family, Jennifer and Kristen; a son, Curtis Flessner, of Iowa Falls; and a sister, Audrey Harms, and husband Ben of Ackley. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Frances.

Sietsema Funeral Home of Ackley is in charge of arrangements.
