DUMONT-Rodney Lee "Tony" Silver, 48, of Dumont died of natural causes Thursday, Oct. 14, 2004, in his home in Dumont. Funeral services will be Monday, Oct. 18, at 10:30 a.m. at the St. James Lutheran Church in Allison with the Rev. Marvin Schumacher officiating. Burial will follow at the Dumont Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, Oct. 17, from 3-6 p.m. at the Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home in Dumont.

Tony was born Sept. 7, 1956, in Hampton to Donald F. and Nancy (Abbas) Silver. He graduated from Dumont Community School. On June 23, 1979, he was united in marriage to Lois Freesemann in Allison. Rodney was a truck driver for Greene Limestone. He was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church in Dumont and attended St. James Lutheran Church in Allison. Rodney enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, auctions, watching his daughters in their extracurricular activities and the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Survivors include his wife, Lois; three daughters, Carissa and fiance Dustin Otto, Tori and Tonia, all of Dumont; and two sisters, Rhoda Clemens and husband Ron of Paola, Kan., and Roxie Bochman of Peoria, Ill. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Rhonda, and brother, Roger.
