AURORA, Ill.-Raymond J. Hartkopp, 82, of Aurora, Ill., died Friday, Aug. 3, 2001, at his home. Services were held on Aug. 6 at St. Therese Church with burial Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Aurora.
Raymond was born Oct. 12, 1918, in Osage, to William A. and Matilda DeGeeter Hartkopp. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church; Luxembourg Club; Knights of Columbus; and the Phoenix Club. He worked at the Aurora Pump Company for 36 years. Raymond enjoyed golfing, camping, woodworking and gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; three daughters, Virginia Kramer and husband, Robert, of North Aurora, Andrea Ideran and husband, John, of Montgomery, Ill., and Lisa Long and husband, Daniel, of Sugar Grove, Ill; four sons, Richard and wife, Patricia, of North Aurora, Russell and Ronald, both of Aurora, Robert and wife, Mary, of Sugar Grove, Ill.; 23 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Albert and Merlin Hartkopp, and a sister, Mary Mueting.
