IOWA FALLS—Lester H. Trickey, 99, of Iowa Falls, passed away Sunday, Oct. 28, 2007, at the Scenic Manor Care Facility in Iowa Falls. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, at the Owasa United Methodist Church in Owasa. Pastor Ward Richards Jr. will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at the church. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Iowa Falls at 1 p.m. Memorials may be directed to the Owasa United Methodist Church or the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Iowa Falls. The Linn’s Funeral Homes, Iowa Falls Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Lester Henry Trickey was born May 29, 1908, in Hardin County, to Frank and Anna (Fletcher) Trickey. He graduated from the Owasa Consolidated School in 1929. On Dec. 19, 1931, he was united in marriage to Maxine Moore at Eldora. To this union two sons were born, Gary and Donald. Lester lived in the Owasa area on the Trickey family farm. He moved to Iowa Falls and then was employed as a maintenance worker for the Ellsworth Municipal Hospital in Iowa Falls. He was a trustee for the Owasa Methodist Church for many years.

Lester is survived by two sons, Gary and wife Elinor of Fort Dodge, and Donald and wife Kay of Kimberling City, Mo.; seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Anna Trickey; his wife, Maxine, on Jan. 13, 1998; one grandson, Brent Trickey; and two brothers, Charles and Clifford Trickey.
