GRANZOW, BARZ, ELLER, HILES, DALESKE

August Henry Granzow, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Granzow, was born April 29, 1894, in Pleasant township, Hardin county, just west of Eldora, where he grew to manhood, and spent his entire life. On Feb, 7, 1917, he was married to Minnie Barz. To this union three children wee born: Albert, Dorothy and Lowell. (Died 17 Dec 1932)

Mr. Granzow was an energetic and popular farmer, and his cheerful disposition won him many friends throughout the county. He was an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran church here and was treasurer and financial secretary of that institution for many years.

Funeral services were held at the family home west of Eldora, and from St. Paul's Lutheran church Tuesday afternoon, Rev. C. Hesse, officiating.

Besides his wife and children, Mr. Granzow is survived by his parents, two brothers, Carl and George, three sisters, Mrs. Amanda Eller, Radcliffe; Mrs. Lorena Hiles, Eldora; and Mrs. Hebert Daleske, Eldora.

(Note: August was killed in a vehicle accident, a car crossed the line, hitting the truck he was in, killing him.)
