Services Monday for Frank Ziesman

Services were held Monday afternoon at St. Paul Lutheran church, conducted by the Rev. John Zimmerman, for Franz Robert Wilhelm Ziesman, better known as Frank R. Ziesman, 59, who died at his home Thursday. Mrs. W. O. Guenther and St. Paul's choir were in charge of the music. Mrs. Charles Trupp, Mrs. Lydia Balvanz, Mrs. Ella Steinfeldt and Mrs. Dean Eggleston cared for the flowers. Pallbearers were Oren Dreier, Kermit Dreier, Dale Meeker, Paul Schwitters, Harold Cable and Ernest Vierkandt. Burial was made in Eldora cemetery.

Mr. Ziesman was born April 8, 1889, in Pleasant township, his parents being Henry and Wilhelma (sic) Ziesman. He was graduated from Eldora high school in 1909. For a time he was a partner in the Speers clothing store and in 1915 he went to San Juan, Texas, where he farmed.

On November 22, 1916, he was united in marriage with Alma Anna Thompson. In 1927 they came to Eldora and engaged in farming and in 1936 moved to this city.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Eloise Cobie of Eldora and Mrs. Glady Ryan of Des Moines, and one son, Robert Ziesman of Eldora; one brother, Will Ziesman of Eldora, four sisters, Mrs. Hulda Dreier of Eldora; Mrs. Minnie Simmons of Pittsburgh, Pa.; Mrs. Emelie Boyer and Mrs. Marie Morgan of Los Angeles, Calif., and one granddaughter, Diane Cobie.
