Clara Olson rites held here Tuesday

Mrs. Clara Malinda Olson, 73, of Algona, died at the Good Samaritan rest home early Sunday morning, Aug. 23, after a lingering illness.

Funeral services for her will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the First Lutheran church in Algona. Rev. Edsel Isaacson will officiate and burial will be at Britt.

Serving as pallbearers will be Orlan Rutledge, Orville Wicks, Ross Calhoun, Murl Potter, James Kelso and Rudolph Willrett.

Clara Thompson was born April 30, 1886 at Belmond, the daughter of Ole and Carrie Thompson. She was married July 20, 1909, to Joseph E. Olson, who preceded her in death in 1942.

Two children survive. They are Mrs. Lucille Johnson, Algona, and Dean Olson, also of Algona. One daughter preceded the mother in death in 1944.
