Britt - Funeral services for Clifford LaPlount, 65, former resident of Crystal Lake, will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Boughton Funeral Home. The Rev. Paul W. Adix of First Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

He died Monday at Paullina Retirement Home. He had been in ill health much of his life. He was was born Dec. 4, 1904, at Garner, to Leo and Helen Bailey LaPlount. He attended Crystal Lake High School.

Surviving are three brothers, Harold and Vincent, Mason City; Loren, Des Moines; three sisters, Mrs. Roland (Mildred) Gard, Melvern; Mrs. Bernice Border, Lohrville; Mrs. Donovan (Verna) May, Riceville. A brother and his parents preceded him in death.
