Gilmore Johnson

Britt - Gilmore Johnson, 74, retired city employee, died Wednesday at the Hancock County Memorial Hospital here. Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Methodist Church here. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery with Grupe Funeral Home in charge.

Born Jan. 17, 1892, in Sweden, he came to this country as a child. He was married at Britt in 1915 and farmed northwest of Britt six years. After moving to Britt he hauled mail and express for the post office 27 years and then was employed by the city until two years ago.

Surviving are his wife, Olive; a son, Donald, Omaha; two brothers, Alfred and Sander, Britt; a sister, Mrs. Ellis Dudgeon, Britt; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
