Martha M. Diekhuis

Garner - Martha Mathilda Diekhuis, 71, died Sunday at Concord Manor Nursing Home here. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in St. Paul's Lutheran Church here. The Rev. L. G. Leonard will officiate. Burial will be in Concord Cemetery with Bohn Funeral Home in charge.

The daughter of John and Wilhelmina Schultz Sanderfeld, she was born in Iowa County. She was married Aug. 31, 1918, to Harbert Diekhuis. They retired to Garner in 1935 and he died in 1948.

Surviving are five sons, John, Belmond; Harbert Jr., Garner; Harry and Marvin, Klemme; Irving, Mason City; 13 grandchildren, three sisters and a brother.
