Edith (Mrs. Alfred W.) Mueller, age 80, of Faribault, Minnesota, died on Friday, February 13, 2004, at the Pleasant Manor Nursing Home, Faribault.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 21, at the St. Luke's United Church of Christ, Faribault, with the Reverend Dr. Mark Noren officiating. Interment was in the Concord Cemetery, Garner. The Boldt Funeral Home of Faribault was in charge of the arrangements.
Edith, the daughter of Willi Max and Hedwig (Holland) Jenke, was born on February 24, 1923 in Berlin, Germany. She married Alfred W. Mueller on November 9, 1946 at Berlin, Germany. Alfred had served in the German Army and was captured in Africa and held as a prisoner of war in Algona. In 1949, she and her husband returned to the U.S. sponsored by E. G. Greiman of Garner. She was formerly employed by the Sioux Railroad in Minneapolis.
She is survived by special friends, Kermit and Arlene Greiman and Betty Hughes, all of Garner and their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her spouse, Alfred on February 27, 2003; and a brother and a sister.
