Mrs. C. W. Jensen Buried Wednesday
Mrs. C. W. Jensen died at the Mercy hospital in Mason City Sunday, March 30, having been taken there for treatment March 22. Had she lived until July 9, she would have reached her 80th birthday.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. at the home of her grandchildren, Dorothy, Jerry and Robert Larson in Britt, and at 2 o'clock at the Congregational church with the Rev. Dr. B. A. Rust, pastor of the Bethel Baptist church, and the Rev. E. H. Johnson. of the Congregational church in charge of the last rites. Burial was made beside her husband in Evergreen cemetery at Britt.
Anna Anderson was born in Denmark. At the age of about five years she accompanied her parents to the States. The family lived in the Cedar Falls, Iowa, vicinity and it was there that the deceased was married to C. W. Jensen on March 24, 1892.
From 1904 to 1916 Mr. and Mrs. Jensen lived at Crystal Lake where Mr. Jensen operated a hardware and implement business. From there they moved to Blairsburg where Mr. Jensen was engaged in the same kind of business for five years. Leaving there in 1921 they came to Britt where Mr. Jensen purchased the harness shop from Ira Peck, and operated it for 13 years. His death occurred June 23, 1934.
One daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Jensen. She married James Larson. Her death occured in January 1945.
Surviving is one sister, Mrs. Cena Nelson of Des Moines, nine grandchildren; Dorothy and Jerry Larson of Britt; Robert, Bud (Willis), James, Glen and Cecil Larson, all of Long Beach, Calif., vicinity; Mrs. Don (Joan) Muhm, Ames; and Merle Larson, Kanawha. There are twelve great grandchildren.
