Ivel J. Foster passes away hold services

Ivel Juhl Foster, son of Henderson and Neisha Goddard Foster, passed away at the Hancock Memorial Hospital Saturday, Oct. 28, 1972 following a lingering illness.

Mr. Foster was born Feb. 2, 1891 in Cooksville, McLean Co, Ill, and was 81 years, 8 months and 26 days of age at the time of his death. With his parents as a young boy they moved to the Woden area where he received his education in the Woden schools.

He had farmed in the Woden and Britt area and when moving to Britt he had been a painter. He was married to Blanche Benzler January 18, 1915 in Clear Lake, Iowa and for the last 7 years had made his home in the Westview Manor Nursing home in Britt.

He is survived by 5 daughters, Mrs. Cleo (Evelyn) Eiseman of Britt, Iowa, Mrs. Jean Larson of Venice, Calif.; Mrs. Harold (Bette) Missman of Des Moines, Iowa; Mrs. Bill (Darlene) Swindig of Bellflower, Calif; Mrs. Frank (Ruth) Hughes of Downey, Calif.; one son Robert Foster of Britt, 18 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, one brother, C. C. Foster of Mason City, one sister, Mrs. Margaret Hurd of Bishop, Calif., many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Blanche in 1963, 3 sisters and 1 brother.
