JACOB STORK, VENTURA, DIES

Funeral for Retired Farmer, 79, to Be Held on Thursday

VENTURA - Jacob Stork, 79, retired farmer and former member of the school board, died Tuesday in a Mason City hospital following a major operation.

Mr. Stork is survived by his wife, Lena; two daughter, Mrs. Geneva Decker, Detroit, Mich., and Mrs. Wesley Kutzner of near Ventura; three brothers, Ed and Tom of Clear Lake and Fred of Garner; one sister, Mrs. C. K. Moe, Huntington, W. Va.and four half sisters, Mrs,. Henry Huber, of near Clear Lake; Mrs. Josie Thronson, Ventura; Mrs. Ella Thronson of Canada and Mrs. Anna Swela, Alden, Minn.

The family is seeking a brother in law, Ralph Hubbard, in order to notify him of the death.

Mr. Stork was born in Muscoda, Wis., May 1, 1862, and died at the age of 79 years. His wife preceded him in death Aug 13, 1923; also a son, Charlton, died in infancy.

He was married to Lena Boomhower June 2, 1925. Mr. Stork retired and moved from his farm to Ventura 32 years ago. He has been president of the Ventura State bank since 1926. He organized the Farmers Elevator company, also the creamery, and has served as president of the school board for several years.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 at the house, 2 o'clock at the U. B. church with the Rev. Z. Haugham officiating. Burial will be at the Garner cemetery.
