Services for Fred Kluckhohn, 95, were held on Monday, Dec. 26 at the United Methodist Church in Klemme with the Rev. Herbert Shafer officiating.
The organist for the service was Mrs. Madelyn Priebe; singers were Mrs. Thelma Arnold and Mrs. Bev Thorson. Casket bearers were David Back, Brian Turgasen, Franklin Kluckhohn, Verle Keraus, Larry Kluckhohn and Kenneth Kluckhohn.
Arrangements were made by the Tenold Funeral Homes.
Fred "Buck" Kluckhohn, the son of George and Louise Ell Kluckhohn, was born on July 29, 1888 on a farm east of Klemme in Ell Township. Mr. Kluckhohn's twin brother Willie died in infancy. Mr. Kluckhohn came to Klemme to live along with his parents, brothers and sisters in 1891.
He was united in marriage to Naomi Butcher in Oxford, Ind., on April 12, 1911.
Mr. Kluckhohn was a member of the United Methodist Church, Shriners and Odd Fellow Lodge.
Mr. Kluckhohn entered Concord Manor Nursing home in Garner in 1981, where he died on Dec. 21.
Survivors include daughter Thelma Haagenson and her husband Richard of Williams; grandsons Roberts Larson and Jean Weber, a close friend of the family, and Craig Larson and his wife Sharon, all of Klemme and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; brothers Frank, Willie, LeRoy, Clarence and Charles and sisters Sadie Turgasen and Myrtle and Lola Keraus.
