A large number of Ventura people attended the funeral of Miss Ellen Johnson Saturday at the home of her parents, about two and a half miles northwest of this place. There was a large and sympathizing congregation present. Miss Johnson was born in Chariton, Ia., Oct. 14, 1897, and died June 28, at 12:30 p.m. Decedent was highly respected in this community and was a member of the senior class in the Garner high school. Suitable services were conducted at the home, after which the body was taken to Garner for a further service. The remains were buried in the Garner cemetery.
