1914-1995Services for Alberta Iverson, 80, of Garner, who died Monday, May 22, 1995 at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City, were held 2 p.m., Thursday, May 25, at the Cataldo Funeral Chapel in Garner with Rev. John W. Hemann as officiant.
Mrs. Ronald Kumsher was organist.
Honorary bearers were Pat Young, Jeff Young, Kim Schleuger, Matt Schleuger, Kathy Zuehl, Terri Verbrugge Peggy Higgins, Brad Zuehl, Jake Zuehl and Val Carolus.
Burial was in St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery in Garner.
Albert Hansenia Iverson, the daughter of Bernhardt and Agnes (Madsen) Bartleson, was born September 5, 1914 at Forest City. She attended school at Forest City.
She was married to Ivan Iverson in October of 1936. They made their home in Crystal Lake until 1959. Alberta moved to Mason City where she worked at Raise's Department Store for 19 years. In 1984, she moved to Garner.
She enjoyed her family, flower gardening and gardening.
She is survived by three daughters, Marnie Vivalda and her husband, Joe of Fallbrook CA, Bonnie Young and her husband, Elmer of Garner; and Jackie Schleuger and her husband, Glenn of Britt; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; two sisters, Anna Balmer of Green Mountain and Charlotte Klatt of Mason City; a brother Ben Bartleson and his wife, Lorraine of Clear Lake; a sister in law, Marion Bartleson of Clear Lake; and a
brother in law, Everett Schreiber of Bloomington, IL.She was preceded in death by a grandson, Ricky Schleuger; her parents; a brother, Carl Bartleson; and two sisters, Val Bartleson and Marie Schreiber.
