Graveside services for Wayne Stanley Hurd of Spokane, Washington, were held Saturday, Nov. 14, at Ell Township Cemetery at Klemme, with Pastor Bill Duay officiating. Tenold Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Wayne Hurd, was born Oct. 18, 1913, at Meservey, Ia., to Helen and Bill Hurd. He attended school in the Greene and Allison area and after graduation enlisted in the service, and following Pearl Harbor he served for twenty years. After the service he moved to Spokane where he became a logger. While there he met and married Ann Ferguson, and they spent their lives in Spokane.

He is survived by his wife Ann; two stepchildren, Patricia and G.E. Ferguson; and two sisters, Mrs., Charles (Helen) Bateman, and Mrs. Harry (Phylis) Wenig of Belmond.
