C. B. Hench, 89, dies at Titonka; Rites Wednesday

TITONKA - Funeral services for C. B. Hench, 89, will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Titonka Methodist Church with the Rev. Max Goldman officiating. Blake Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery at Britt.

Clark Bower Hench was born Oct. 1, 1871, at Blain, Pa., to Owen T. and Emma Hench. He came to Grundy County after his marriage, Sept. 7, 1897, to Emma Gutshall. He moved to Britt in 1903. His wife died in 1923 and he has lived with his son Arthur, here since 1924.

Surviving are four sons, Lee O., Eau Claire, Wis.; Arthur C., Titonka; Marvin D., Walnut Creek, Calif.; Bernard L., Hamilton, Ohio; nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, two brothers, Charles M., Blain, Pa., and Harry J., California.
