Funeral Services Held Sunday for Mrs. B. Heckerson

KANAWHA - Funeral services were held here Sunday at the home and at the Kanawha Lutheran church for Mrs. Bertha Gurine Heckerson, who died Friday at the home. The Rev. T. J. Severtson of Eagle Grove officiated at the services.

On Aug. 1, 1884, she was united in marriage to Edward Heckerson at Morris, Ill., near which place she resided until 1895, when they moved to Iowa and located 3 1/4 miles south of Kanawha. In 1916 they moved to Kanawha, where she resided until her death. She was a member of the Kanawha Lutheran church and the Ladies' Aid.

Surviving are her husband; one son, Lewis Heckerson, and three daughters, Mrs. Elmer Engstrom, Jennie Heckerson and Mrs. Charles Hall, all of Kanawha, besides 11 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Her parents, sister and brother and one infant son, Jacob Oliver, preceded her in death.
