Corwith Farmer Dies in Corn Picking Accident

CORWITH - Howard Donald Hankins, 28, a farmer living near Corwith, was killed in a farm accident Saturday.

It is thought Hankins, who was picking corn alone, jumped from the tractor to the wagon. He fell and the wagon wheel passed over him. He was found dead in the field.

Surviving are his wife, two daughters, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Hankins, Corwith; two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Methodist Church in Corwith. The Rev. Mr. Runyon will officiate. Burial will be in the Corwith Cemetery with the Osman Funeral Home, Britt, in charge.
