Mother Dies in Childbirth

Mrs. George Gray, who lived southeast of Corwith, died last week Monday at St. Josephs hospital, Mason City, where she had given birth to a daughter the week before.

Mrs. Gray was Evelyn Dorothy Sheets, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Sheets, and she was born May 12, 1901, at Britt, and was married in 1921 to George Gray, Corwith. Thirteen children were born, two of whom are dead.

Mr. Gray survives, and the living children are Donna Mary, Ardip, Shirley, Paul, Jack, Donald, Joeann, Jerry, Rita, Jane and Ramona.

Mrs. Gray's father and four brothers; Everette, Elmer, Emmet, and Ernest, all of Britt, also survive.

Funeral services were held at St. Patrick's Catholic church, Britt last week Thursday, the Rev. Father Quinn in charge, and burial was made in the church cemetery southeast of Britt.
