Woden Veterinarian Ill Several Months; Funeral Rites Held
WODEN - Dr. Gus Fredrickson died early Wednesday morning at the Kossuth county hospital at Algona following an illness of several months. He was 56.
Dr. Fredrickson was born at Paxton, Ill. He came to Iowa in 1907 and has made his home in Woden since that time. He attended McKillip Veterinary college at Chicago, Ill., and practiced in the veterinary profession until he became ill.
Surviving are two brothers, John of Tucson, Ariz., and Albert of Paxton, Ill.; three sisters, Mrs. S. E. Henry of Paxton, Mrs. Arthur D. Teter of Marshall, Mo., and Miss Ethel Fredrickson of Paxton, Ill.; a sister in law, Mrs. Theo Fredrickson of Woden and a number of nephews and nieces.
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 1:30 at the Wigton funeral home in Britt followed by services at the Presbyterian church in Woden at 2:30 with the Rev. H. Kruse officiating.
Burial was in Bingham township cemetery.
