SEND CROWDER BODY TO BRITT

Two Men Being Held in Connection With Former Iowan's Death

BRITT - Relatives have received word from Conneant, Ohio, that the body of George Crowder, 26, has been found and will be shipped to Britt for burial. Two men are being held there in connection with his death.

The youth was riding in a rowboat in the harbor of the Ohio city when last seen May 19. The two men now being held were with him at the time. He had been paid for his work at Pittsburgh Steel company's mills that day.

The body was not recovered until Wednesday of this week. The two men who were with Mr. Crowder said that he told them he could swim faster than they were rowing the boat and jumped into the harbor to prove it. According to their story, he failed to come to the surface and they saw no more of him.

Mr. Crowder is survived by his father at Emmetsburg and three brothers, John Crowder, Forest City, Woodrow Crowder, Washington, Emmett at home and three sisters, Edna and Marjorie at Britt and Mary, in Mason City.

Also surviving are his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. David Anderson, Britt, with whom he has made his home since the death of his mother in 1924.

Funeral arrangements will be made pending arrival of the body from Ohio.
