Services Held Here For Arthur Baack, 49

Funeral services for Arthur Baack, 48, former Woden resident, were held Friday, September 10, at 3 p.m. at the Boughton Woden Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Roger L. Hanson, Pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church officiating. Burial was in Immanual Lutheran cemetery.

Arthur Baack, son of Paul E. and Augusta Brandt Baack, was born February 13, 1923 at Woden. He was baptized in the Lutheran faith and had attended school at Woden. He had been in ill health most of his life and had been confined to various hospitals much of the time. For the past several years, he had resided near Oskaloosa. He died Wednesday, September 8, at Mahaska County Memporial Hospital at Oskaloosa, having suffered injuries in a fall on Tuesday which contributed to his death.

Surviving is one sister, Mrs. Sanford (Alma) Slattenow of Waterloo and three brothers, John Baack of Ft, Benton, Montana, Walter Baack of Wild Rose, North Dakota, and August Baack of Marion, Iowa, Also a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Clara, who died in infancy.
