DICK AUSBORN RITES PLANNED

Farmer Near Ventura Native of Germany; Services Thursday

BRITT - Funeral services will be held Thursday for Dick Ausborn, formerly of Britt, who died Monday at the home near Ventura.

Services will be at 1 o'clock at the home 6 miles south and 1 mile west of Ventura and at 2 o'clock at the first Lutheran church in Britt with the Rev. J. H. Kolberg in charge. Burial will be in Britt Evergreen cemetery.

Mr. Ausborn was born Feb. 11, 1865, in Schleswig Holstein, Germany. When 18 years old he came to America with his mother.

For 30 years he farmed the land belonging to the McMahon brothers of Britt. In 1939 he moved to the farm near Ventura.

Mr. Ausborn is survived by four sons, William, August and Fred, at home, and Albert of Klemme; Two daughters, Mrs. Ed Gifford of Ventura and Mrs. Lee Hawkins of Peoria, Ill,; and a granddaughter, Pauline, who made her home with him since infancy. Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. J. C. Peterson of Marietta, Minn., and brother in Germany.

His wife preceded him in death in 1936, and a daughter, Etta, died in 1931.
