Alfred Jacobson rites Thursday at Britt church

BRITT: Alfred Jacobson, 65, died Monday while operating a tractor on his farm here. Funeral services were held Thursday at the Evangelical Free Church with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. The Rev. Ernest Streed officiated and Boughton Funeral Home was in charge.

Born April 13, 1896, at Vestero Hyn, Ulland, Denmark, he had lived here since 1922. He was married Feb. 25, 1923, to Karen Hansen. They had farmed north of Britt since their marriage. He was a member of the creamery board 12 years, had served as its president; was a director of the North Iowa Experimental Farm at Kanawha; a member of the Farm Bureau and the Odd Fellows Lodge.

Surviving are his wife, a brother, Peter, Britt; a sister, Mrs. Marie Nelson, Denmark. He was preceded in death by a brother, Chris, Britt, and two sisters, Anna and Sena both of Denmark.
