Dick Gayken rites at Britt

BRITT: Dick B. Gayken, 57, died Saturday at a hospital in Independence. He had lived the last 30 years in Waterloo, where he was an inspector for the John Deere plant. He was a member of the Masonic Order at Waterloo.

Born at Titonka July 13, 1903, he was the son of George and Margaret Behrens Gayken. He was married in 1935 to Virginia Freet of Waterloo. Surviving are a foster son, Dale Gayken, of U.S. Navy; a brother, Frank W. Britt; a sister, Mrs. Henry (Gusta) Krull, Britt. He was preceded in death by six sisters and three brothers.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Boughton Funeral Home. The Rev. Warren S. Paige of the Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
