Services to Be at Local Funeral Home

Miss Jennie Elder, Long Beach, Cal., sister of Mrs. H. M. Hoag, 1003 Penn. N.E. died at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Community Hospital in Grinnell.

She was a member of a pioneer family of Concord, an early day town near Garner. For the past 28 years she has resided at Long Beach.

Mrs. W. B. Hoyt, her niece, brought her back from California a few weeks ago to live in Grinnell. Surviving are her sister, Mrs. Hoag, Mason City; and niece, Mrs. Hoyt, and grandniece, Margaret, and grandnephew, Harry, of Grinnell.

Miss Elder was a member of the P.E.O., the Congregational church, and the Ebell club of Grinnell.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Major Memorial chapel, with the Rev. Peter J. Jansen, pastor of the First Congregational church, officiating. Interment will be at the Concord cemetery at Garner. The Major funeral home in charge.

Death Notices
