John Albers

KLEMME — John Albers, 90, of Klemme, died Saturday (Nov. 4, 1989) at Concord Care Center, Garner, of natural causes.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the United Church of Christ, Klemme, with the Rev. Don Walters officiating. Burial will be in Ell Township Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today at Tenold Funeral Home, Klemme.

Mr. Albers was born June 29, 1899, at Klemme to George and Wintze (Wientjes) Albers.

Survivors include his wife, Florence, Klemme; two sons, Carroll, Garner, and Gene, Clear Lake; 10 grandchildren, three step grandchildren and six great grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Walter (Elsina) Lauster, Clear Lake, Mrs. Carrie Pringnitz and Mrs. Winnie Buss, both of Klemme, and Mrs. Rueben (Helen) Cornelius, Joice; and one brother, Lubbe Albers, Clear Lake.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.

JOHN ALBERS

Funeral services for John Albers, 90, were held on Tuesday, Nov. 7 at the Klemme United Church of Christ with Rev. Don Walters officiating.

Albers died November 4, 1989 at the Concord Care Center in Garner. Burial was in Ell Township Cemetery, Klemme. Tenold Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

John, the son of George and Wintje Wientjes Albers, was born June 29, 1899 at Klemme. He attended rural schools and married Florence Swalve on December 18, 1930 at the Immanuel Reformed United Church of Christ in Klemme.

They farmed west of Klemme until 1954 when they built a new home and retired in Klemme.

Preceding him in death were his parents, one sister and three brothers.

Surviving are his wife, Florence; two sons: Carroll Albers of Garner and Gene Albers of Clear Lake; 10 grandchildren, three step grandchildren and six great grandchildren; four sisters: Elsina (Mrs. Walter) Lauster of Clear Lake, Carrie Pringnitz of Klemme, Winnie Buss of Klemme and Helen (Mrs. Reuben) Cornelius of Joice and one brother, Lubbe Albers of Clear Lake.

Casket bearers were Mike Bettin, Jim Davis, Russ Albers, Mark Albers, Ray Schmidt, Ryan Albers and Mike Albers.
