DIED: At her home in Garner, Monday evening, July 6, of typhoid pneumonia, Mrs. Frances P. Abbey, aged 26 Years. Short funeral service was held at her late residence at 10 o'clock this morning, and her remains taken to Ellington, her childhood home, where services was held in the center school house and laid to final rest beside the grave of her father, Jacob Ward, in Ellington cemetery.

Frances P. Ward was born at Ellington, Iowa, March 13th, 1865 where she resided until 1888, when she moved with her family to Concord, thence to Garner. She was married to Elmer C. Abbey August 11, 1881 and her married life was full of happiness. A fond husband and four small children, are left to mourn the departure of a loving wife and mother to that better land in Heaven.
