Cook Funeral
Services Held

Rites Are Conducted
for Kanawha Resident
at Methodist Church

Kanawha - Funeral services were held for E. P. Cook Sunday afternoon at the Kanawha Methodist church with the Rev. J. F. Moore officiating.

Mr. Cook died Friday morning at his home in Kanawha following an illness of about 18 months. He was 75 years old.

Mr. Cook was born in Brown county, Ohio, Feb. 17, 1866. He was left an orphan when 9 years old and spent his boyhood and young manhood days in Ohio and Kentucky. He was married to Miss Jennie Kennedy at Seaman, Ohio, Feb 13, 1889. They resided at Seaman six years when they moved to Dayton, Ohio, where they lived several years, moving from there to Webster City, Iowa. In 1917 they moved to their farm home north of Kanawha and in 1936 they retired to their present home in Kanawha.

He was a member of the Kanawha I.O.O.F. lodge, a member of the Federal Land bank and the president of the local Federal Land association for several years. He was also the president and director of the Farmers Co-operative creamery and Farmers Elevator company in Kanawha.

Surviving are his wife; two sons, Erith and Clarence, both of Kanawha; two brothers, Elsworth and John, both of Washington, D.C., and four grandchildren.

Special music was furnished at the services by the men's quartet and a solo by Vic Blomgren.

The I.O.O.F. lodge had charge of the services at the Kanawha cemetery.
