Alonzo Baughman, 80, Dies at Duncan; Rites Conducted at Corwith

Corwith - Alonzo Baughman, 80, former Corwith resident, died Friday at Duncan. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Boughton funeral home in Britt. Burial was in the family lot in the Corwith cemetery.

Mr. Baughman came to this part of the country from Chenoa, Ill., in 1895 and settled on a farm southeast of Corwith where he lived for 20 years. After retiring from the farm he made his home in Corwith for a time, later going to Britt where he lived his remaining years.

Mr. Baughman was never married. He is survived by his nephew, William Baughman of Corwith, a niece, Mrs. John Butenhoff of Jefferson, and several other nieces and nephews.
